City guide : nos bonnes adresses à Nice ☀️

Nissa la bella

Nice is a city of a thousand colors, with a lot of Italian influences. A great destination for a family weekend, the city is easily accessible by plane or train. It can be visited on foot and under the sun that shines 127 days a year. Don't forget your towels and swimsuits!

An ideal day in Nice

After a good breakfast at Marinette's, a delight for her taste buds in the heart of old Nice, head to Cours Saleya and its famous flower market. Around 11 am, we stop for a drink at La Civette to enjoy the atmosphere and then we go to L'Atelier des Jouets (rue de l'Ancien Senat) to find wonders that will delight children.

When your belly starts to rumble, nothing better than a Socca and a chard pie, specialties from Nice, bought on the “Chez Thérèse” scooter (28 Rue Droite). Get there early, there is often a line starting at noon. To eat on the beach, because the famous Promenade des Anglais is only a few meters away.

Marie's advice: bring a towel to sit on, pebbles hurt your buttocks!

After a mandatory stop at Fenochio, the best ice cream shop in town, which offers nearly 100 flavors — from the most classic to the most original, including thyme, rosemary, violet, violet, lavender etc. (Attention, there are two, opt instead for the one on Place Rossetti with its fountain and the beautiful Sainte Reparate Cathedral, classified as a historical monument), it's time to stretch your minis' legs!

Go to the unmissable park of Colline du Château. The castle has not existed for a long time, but you will have a breathtaking view from the top of a green hill. For the more adventurous, climb up a vertiginous staircase. For those who carry children and pushchairs around, don't worry, there is an elevator (for a fee)! At the top, enjoy games for the children, a small snack bar if you are thirsty (and only thirsty, the rest is to be avoided!) and above all an incredible view of the port of Nice.

Go down on the Port side and stroll through this new district of Nice which is full of pretty addresses. Then go up to Place Garibaldi via Place du Pin, nicknamed “The small marsh of Nice”. On the square, an ancient merry-go-round will be required to please the children.

Marie's advice: reservations are mandatory in all restaurants, especially as soon as the weather arrives!

The Agitators
More chic, the brilliant bistronomic restaurant Les Agitateurs, rue Bonaparte. Instead, do it as a couple if you have found a babysitter. The young, inventive and Michelin-starred chef Samuel Victori will delight you with a menu that is unique in every sense of the word.
