To start this second day, go explore the Gorges du Fier, located a few kilometers from Annecy. This narrow gorge crossed by a suspended footbridge offers a unique experience for young and old. To do in the morning with a picnic. After lunch, head to Chozal farm to discover the animals. The farm also offers a barefoot sensory journey in the forest.
Start by strolling through the old town of Annecy, with its paved pedestrian streets, canals and colourful medieval houses. Take the time to stroll along Lake Annecy, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We love taking on a bike, scooter or roller skates for children. Finally, go explore the Bout du Lac Nature Reserve, located a few kilometers from Annecy, where you can admire a wide variety of birds and plants.

Day 1 in Montpellier
Start by visiting Place de la Comedie and admire its Haussmannian architecture. Then, go explore the historic district of Ecusson, with its cobbled streets and 18th-century mansions. Go up Avenue Foch, then take a stroll to the Promenade du Peyrou. Admire the view and say hello to Pic Saint Loup in the distance. It's lunch time! Stop by the Broc Café for a gourmet break, then head to the Jardin des Plantes where children can nap in the stroller while you observe the plants. In the afternoon, do some shopping for the kids. Head to Rue de l'Ancien Courrier and the Saint Roch district, including the Les Petites Choses store for children and Serendipity for nice decor. In the evening, stay in the old town for dinner.

Day 2 in Montpellier
Today, we recommend that you go and explore the area. Think of Carnon Beach in the morning, when there are not too many people and the sun is not beating too hard... Do you want to visit a historic citadel? Head to the city of Aigues-Morte for lunch and its salt flats (book the small train in advance). Back in Montpellier, go back to the old town for dinner and a well-deserved ice cream. Our favorite ice cream parlor addresses: La Banquise and Padova.
