Charlie Crane x Louise Misha: the bohemian collaboration for toddlers 🌸

How did the meeting between Louise Misha and Charlie Crane go?
Marie Pidancet: Our communities are very close, we have two worlds that coexist, in particular, because they are aimed at toddlers and promote an art of living filled with sweetness. I already knew Charlie Crane well, so there was a mutual enthusiasm that led to a first meeting. I was pleasantly surprised by the story of the brand, which, like Louise Misha's, is full of spontaneity. Moreover, the agreement was immediately very easy with Thomas Lépine, the founder of Charlie Crane.
Thomas Lépine: It's all the fault of our communication manager! She saw on Instagram that Marie, the founder of Louise Misha, was expecting a baby. She took this opportunity to offer him products and introduce him to Charlie Crane. She then insisted on meeting Marie and me.
For my part, I only knew Louise Misha by name, I did not fully realize the enthusiasm that this brand is triggering...
With Marie, we met over coffee in their superb showroom. The power went on right away! Already, we are neighbours But above all, many things in our entrepreneurial careers echo each other. We also have many common values, such as producing in the most responsible way possible. And then our two brands celebrated their 10th anniversary this year!

How did you come up with the idea and the desire to collaborate together?
Marie Pidancet: During this meeting, we very quickly mentioned the desire to mix our two worlds, as an obvious reason for this collaboration. I could very well imagine our bohemian prints highlighted by the refined furniture by Charlie Crane.
Thomas Lépine: Our expertise is very complementary. Charlie Crane makes furniture and Louise Misha makes textiles. The collaboration between us quickly became obvious! At Charlie Crane, we really like to imagine collaborations with brands that have strong worlds and push us to leave the world of childcare, to break even more the codes of pink and baby blue.
How long does it take to complete a collaboration like this?
Marie Pidancet: A little over a year passed between our decision to launch this collaboration and the finalization of the collection. We started by choosing the print that would adorn the furniture, then there was prototyping, manufacturing, photoshoots for communication media... in which we also involved my son, whom I was pregnant at the beginning of the reflection, and who can now test the finished products: perfect timing!
Thomas Lépine: I confirm! Between our first exchanges and the launch of the collaboration, a year passed. In the meantime, we chose printing, produced several prototypes, coordinated the factories and our teams and then, we had to count on a significant delivery time in a particular context.
What were your inspirations for the collection?
Marie Pidancet: The four creations in this collection were inspired by the belief that every detail counts in order to make a child grow up in a world of softness and to contribute to awakening his senses: the encounter of our bohemian and colorful universe with the soft and refined universe of Charlie Crane makes it possible to transmit this vision.
What Louise Misha pattern did you choose to dress Charlie Crane furniture and why?
Marie Pidancet: The pattern chosen is called Blue Cream Flowers, it is a floral print inspired by vintage inspiration from a past winter that was very successful. We showed several iconic prints to the Charlie Crane teams who set their sights on this one. When it was released, it was available on numerous outfits for children, childcare and home accessories. We therefore decided to bring out these pieces as part of the collaboration to bring to life a whole universe around this favorite print!
Thomas Lépine: We chose Blue Cream Flowers because we loved its slightly vintage prints that gently “wake up” our products for toddlers. We fell in love with its warm colors to cocoon winter babies!

Marie, what do you like about the Charlie Crane universe?
I like to surround myself with beautiful things. For me, it is very important that the objects and clothes we use in our daily lives are joyful and inspiring. Charlie Crane represents the desire to make beautiful objects that take a very important place in our home when a baby arrives. Of course, I fell in love with the iconic deckchair, which I was lucky enough to have even before the start of this collaboration!
