Does my child hit/bite at the nursery?

It is a common behavior of small children, and which has no aggressive value, I reassure you! He does not do this with the intention of hurting: it is probably an impulsive act, which may be related to an emotion of frustration (if another child took his toy for example), or with a slightly clumsy attempt to make contact. He can even express a lot of affection by biting! Calmly explain to him that this behavior is not allowed, and accompany him to console the child he has bitten or hit.

My child still has a cold, what should I do?

There are innumerable forms of cold viruses and therefore indeed, you may be confronted with them very often! The most important thing is to wash your child's nose with physiological serum several times a day and especially before meals and bedtime: this will allow him to eat and sleep more easily. Moreover, if the cold prevents him from eating, do not hesitate to offer him more frequent meals, but less copious. Also, make sure that he is sufficiently hydrated and that the room is very humid and ventilated to participate in the humidification of his secretions. One last thing: be sure to monitor his temperature and general condition, especially if he is not bothered to breathe.

Why does my baby cry as soon as I put it down?

Your baby has just spent nine months in his mother's womb, where he was grouped on himself and rocked, massaged by the movements of the amniotic fluid... He still needs reassuring references around him (the sound of your voice, the sound of your voice, the noise of your heart, the sound of your heart, the warmth of your chest...) and to feel “contained” and close to you. So there's nothing unusual about him crying when you put him down for the first few weeks. Do not hesitate to keep him close to you (carrying is a great solution to have your hands free all the same), or to put one hand on him when he is lying down.

I am no longer experiencing the symptoms of early pregnancy, should I be worried?

The absence of pregnancy symptoms or their disappearance during the first trimester should not worry you:) It is probably that your hormone secretion has decreased a bit, and is finally bringing you some relief!

What should alert you: if you experience cramps in the lower abdomen, accompanied by bleeding. Otherwise, there is a good chance that your pregnancy will take its course quietly:) Take advantage of this peace of mind!

If you are worried, nothing will reassure you better than a consultation with your practitioner to check that everything is fine.

Sometimes I feel contractions, which are not painful. Is that normal?

Does your uterus get all hard for about a minute and then relax? It is possible that it is a Braxton-Hicks contraction (after the name of the doctor who first described them!). During pregnancy, it is common to experience them from time to time: the high norm is usually set at 10-15 per day. If they become more frequent, or are accompanied by pain such as “period pain”, it will be important to consult to take stock.

I feel tightness on the sides of my lower abdomen, is that normal?

It's very similar to ligament pain! It is common to feel it, don't worry. With the growing fetus, the uterus pushes and tugs on its ligaments and those of neighboring organs, like big rubber bands!

As long as it remains a discomfort or discomfort, nothing to worry about, on the contrary: it is that your little one is developing! You can try to relieve them with heat (hot water bottle, bath, shower) and rest

Of course, if you are worried about experiencing intense, permanent or increasing pain, it may be a good idea to see if everything is going well! :)

Do you still have questions? Direction May!

Thanks to Cecilia and the May team for their time.
