Charlie and Friends: Hello Jeremy!

1 — 1 — Hello Jeremy! Could you introduce yourself in a few words: your age, what you do for a living and who is your family made up of?
I am 32 years old, I started an antique tableware rental company a few years ago that keeps me busy. And then of course ChairChaise, which allows me to satisfy my passion for China and flea markets and which does not hide it from us, is taking up more and more space. At home there are four of us: Adeline, met in another professional life, Eliott the tornado who is 2 and a half years old and, since last August, our princess, Elisabeth.
2 — When/how did you discover Charlie Crane and what was the first product you got?
We discovered Charlie Crane when Eliott arrived but it was really with Elisabeth that we took the plunge when I saw the LEVO deckchair on Insta I thought we needed it!
3 — As a young dad, can we say that the LEVO deckchair saved your life?
Definitely! It especially frees my arms! It's not always easy to put the little one on her carpet, especially now that she's turning around in all directions. Not to mention that Elisabeth loves to sway on it while moving her arms, she makes us laugh!
The LEVO is finally the hands-free kit for young parents;)
4 — Could you present Chair Chaise to us: the genesis of the project, its concept and your little secrets for finding such beautiful pieces?
ChairChaise is really, above all, a pleasure!
I always liked the chair as an object and when we wanted to change our vintage Tolix to go further in design, I as one would say “put my finger in the jam jar”. I became passionate about designer chairs and more generally design.
Design is a vast playground!
At first, the Instagram account was just to show my personal collection.
Little by little, I started offering a few chairs for sale on the page, then more and more until it became almost daily!
The biggest secret to finding beautiful things is not really one: you have to like it and spend time there! You can find beautiful things everywhere, that's what's great. There are no rules and also a portion of luck.
5 — Who are the designers who particularly inspire you?
I admit that I have a soft spot for French designers of the 50s and 60s like Roger Landault, René Jean Caillette or Joseph André Motte. Beyond having great first names, their work is really beautiful in what seems to be simplicity but always with the lines and details you need.
I am also not insensitive to Danish design.
6 — Do you have other brands in the children's world that you particularly like?
I'll be honest, Adeline is more of the specialist in this field at home but, on the clothing side, I like Eliott's subscription to Gamin Gamine: simple and effective!
7 — 3 Instagram accounts that inspire you on a daily basis?
Not easy!
@ l alune.decoration: already, I don't know how they find everything they find but especially what photos! It is always just right with the staging that is needed. It's beautiful, it's soft!
@brutgroup: totally a different register but I love it! I can waste hours on their feed!
All these buildings, this concrete, it's sometimes a bit brutal but I like it!
And then @chair .only. Is it really necessary to explain why?
Follow Jérémy on his Instagram account, Chair Chaise.
